Neon & Blush

Normally I wouldn't think to pair this neon yellow and this blush color together, but my friend Corbin encouraged me to try it out, and I kind of like the way the muted pink contrasts with the bright yellow. I added some simple basics to balance it out - my favorite Markus Lupfer initial tee, the best leather pants, and my beat-up old Zara boots.

Overdue

Derek Lam coat / Rag and Bone boots / Rebecca Minkoff bag

This post is long overdue, but it's better late than never, right? My friend Corbin snapped this picture right before the Reem Acra show - which was incredible, by the way - and of course I forgot to post it until just now. I wore my prized possession, a one-of-a-kind Derek Lam coat, paired with black basics to help it stand out (and protect from the cold!). More to come soon!

All Eyes On You

Ever since Markus Lupfer came out with his oh-so-popular Eyes sweater, I've been noticing eyes popping up just about everywhere. They have the potential to look a bit creepy, but I found that these items have the perfect balance of creepy and cool. Of course I wouldn't recommend pairing all of these items together, but separately, they all act as great statement pieces. The Kate Spade pouch is by far my favorite - which one do you like best?

Favorites

Theory coat / Theysken's Theory sweater / Sea dress (worn as skirt) / Rag and Bone booties (sold out) / Claire Vivier pouch / Barneys scarf

I whipped out all of my favorites for this outfit: my favorite coat, my new favorite shoes, and the comfiest sweater I own. I have a tendency to reach for all of these items in the morning, so it only made sense to pair them together. I've been on the hunt for a leather flared skirt for a while now, but since I have yet to find one, I simply threw a sweater over my leather and silk Sea dress. The dress is too fancy for everyday wear, but it becomes casual enough with the addition of a chunky knit. On another note, I'm starting my Spring semester of school today, and for once, I'm actually excited to get back into the swing of things. I hope everything is going well for the rest of you as well!

Sea Pre-Fall 2013

I've sung my praises for Sea before, and despite the fact that I only own two pieces by the brand, it's quickly become one of my new favorites.  They've impressed me once again with their wearable Pre-Fall collection, as it feeds my appetite for matchy-matchy outfits and updated basics. Predictably, I love the leopard print looks the most. The leopard had the potential to look overdone, but it overcame that obstacle when paired with preppy elements like peplums and varsity patches. The peplum, too, is something we've seen a lot of recently, but Sea's drop-waist peplum feels rather refreshing. Find the rest of the collection at Style.com, and do some more Sea-stalking at Sea-ny.com.
